Our residents always look forward to John’s visits. He lightens up the room with his “Singing for the Brain” sessions which enable our service-users to join in on a number of different levels. Thank you John, for bringing back so many happy and wonderful memories to our residents.
Carole Blackett. Manager, Westoe Grange Care Home.
Undoubtably the most engaging entertainer we have ever booked! Our residents ask for him and always look forward to his visits. A cut above the rest!

Stacey Tayla. Wellbeing Co-Ordinator. Redesdale Court.
What I saw yesterday was among the best and most creative activities I have seen in my 24 years of operating care homes.
Ron McNamara. RMN, Chairman Roseberry Care Homes.
John is the most caring and effective Music Therapist that I have met in my 35 years of nursing and 17 years as a home manager. His sessions are always accompanied by smiling faces and laughter. His vitality and enthusiasm are infectious and his sessions leave residents and staff feeling uplifted. The positive effect and impact that I have witnessed upon a resident’s daily experience is simply invaluable.
Patrick Morley. RMN, Home Manager.
We had tremendous feedback from everyone who attended. The content was perfect for both those living with dementia and their carers/loved ones.
Christine Ward. Dementia Advisor. The Bridge, Hospital of God.

Dawn Williams. Lindisfarne Care Home, Ouston.
Singing for the Brain is highly stimulating and engaging for our residents. They really enjoy the music and actively join in with the singing and playing the musical instruments which John provides. Great sessions every time.
Kerry Pringle. Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Hebburn Court.
As well as being an excellent musician and born entertainer, John has a natural empathy with everyone he meets and knows exactly how to interact and develop a good rapport, making everyone feel “special”. The music John provides seem to get through to the residents on a different level. Faces light-up, hands start to clap and you can see a sparkle in their eyes. I’ve seen residents appearing to be sleeping tapping their feet in time with John’s music and others usually reluctant to interact suddenly spring up and start to sing and dance. Absolutely fantastic.
Lynn Henderson (daughter of client) New Road, Boldon Colliery.
It’s always great to see so many of our residents who normally never participate, singing along and having fun. Brilliant!
Meg Stevens. Activities Co-ordinator, Harton Grange.
John Casey was great interacting with his audience. So much more than a singer!
Val Anderson. Day Care Co-ordinator, North East Dementia Care.
We are very confident in John’s approach and connection with all our residents who range from residential to nursing. His Singing for the Brain’ sessions are engaging, energetic and a lot of fun.
